Returns, Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you generally have 14 days from the day you, or a person designated by you, receives the goods to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. If several items from one order are delivered separately, the period generally runs from receipt of the last item.

To exercise this right, send us a clear statement before the deadline by email to contact@shop.visitbornholm.com or by post to Visit Bornholm ApS, Brogårdsvej 41, 3700 Rønne, Denmark. It is not enough simply to refuse or fail to collect a parcel.

Returning goods

After notifying us of withdrawal, return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice. Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping. We recommend a tracked service because you remain responsible for the goods until we receive them.

You may inspect and try the goods in the same way as you reasonably could in a physical shop. You may be liable for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Refunds

We refund payments received from you, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever happens first. Refunds are normally made using the original payment method without additional fees.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply where a statutory exception applies. This can include goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you, as well as certain sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. A standard item is not automatically excluded merely because it is produced on demand.

Defective, damaged, misprinted or lost orders

Your statutory rights against Visit Bornholm ApS apply regardless of whether an item was fulfilled by Printful or another supplier. For consumer purchases, Danish law generally provides a two-year right to complain about defects covered by the Danish Sale of Goods Act.

For products fulfilled by Printful, Printful currently requires merchant claims for damaged, defective or misprinted goods to be submitted within 30 days of delivery, and claims for packages lost in transit within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. To help us submit a supplier claim quickly, please contact us promptly with your order number and clear photos where relevant. This 30-day supplier deadline does not shorten your statutory rights against us.

Change of mind, size or colour

Printful does not reimburse merchants for buyer’s remorse or a customer ordering the wrong size or colour. However, this supplier policy does not remove any statutory withdrawal right you have against Visit Bornholm ApS. Please review size information carefully before ordering.
